We are delighted to introduce the latest addition to our team, Josh! In his early 20s, Josh brings with him a wealth of enthusiasm and skill that promises to make him an invaluable member of our team.
Josh completed a joinery NVQ in college and this started his passion for woodwork. And after working in a local carpet factory we were introduced through another member of our team. Josh decided to join us and return his passion for joinery. His dedication and hard work has paid off, as he has quickly proven himself to be a fantastic asset to our team.
Here at Tailored Wood, we believe in nurturing talent and providing opportunities for growth. That’s why we’ve welcomed Josh as an understudy to various roles within our company. From conventional machines like a spindle and tenoner to the bench joinery and the intricacies of a 5 axis CNC machine, Josh is eager to learn and has already demonstrated a remarkable aptitude for the craft.
As part of our commitment to comprehensive training, we expose our newer team members to all aspects of the joinery manufacturing process. Josh will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced craftsmen in our finishing department, where he’ll gain hands-on experience in spraying, glazing, and assembly.
We believe that by offering a well-rounded training experience, we not only equip our employees with the skills they need to excel but also empower them to discover their passion within the field of joinery. Whether it’s mastering the precision of CNC machining or honing their expertise in traditional carpentry techniques, we strive to support each individual in finding their niche.
